關於納粹德國屠殺猶太人的歷史悲劇,你可能早已知之甚詳,但你很可能還不知道,這首由Joan Baez在四十年前(1970)所唱紅的Donna Donna就是翻唱自猶太民族的一首以色列民謠。
Donna Donna在以色列語言中含有自由的意思。
悠揚的歌聲中敘述著出生就知道自己註定終將難逃被宰殺命運的小牛,望著天上自由飛翔的燕子,那種既無奈又淒涼的心情,歌詞中隱含著對身在自由的人往往不懂得珍惜自由的可貴的深沉感嘆,在Joan Baez那略帶著淡淡哀傷的柔美歌聲中,除了令人感動,也頗能引人更多的省思。
